In a press-conference today, the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany (BCCG) demanded long-sighted
negotiations in order to avoid negative economic and social consequences
because of Brexit. More than 600,000 employees in Germany and Great Britain are
directly affected by Brexit. As the UK is still part of Europe, we should focus
on pragmatic negotiations in order to keep trade and political relations as
unaffected as possible. Brexit in this sense may be a chance for a revitalised
EU, resulting in a more transparent and democratic Union for all.
