Overall bilateral trade volume of goods and Services reached 183 bn euro in 2015, up by 7% from 2014, being third largest in bilateral German trade volume with another country, after the US and the Netherlands.

BCCG: Britisch-deutscher Handel- und Wirtschaftsaustausch mit 183 Mrd Euro auf Rekordhöhe
BCCG e.V.: Der Handels- und Wirtschaftsaustausch zwischen Deutschland und Großbritannien erreichte 2015 laut Zahlungsbilanzstatistik der Bundesbank wieder einen neuen Rekord:

Der britisch-deutsche Austausch von Waren und Dienstleistungen rangiert mit 183 Mrd. € demnach für Deutschland an 3. Stelle (nach den USA und Niederlanden) im bilateralen Wirtschaftsverkehr.
Das gesamte bilaterale Handelsvolumen von Waren und Dienstleistungen stieg 2015 um ca. 7% auf 183 Mrd. € im Vergleich zum Vorjahr (171 Mrd. €).
Davon betrug Handel an Waren 136 Mrd. €, ein Anstieg von ca. 7% im Vergleich zu 2014. Die britischen Exporte an Waren nach Deutschland beliefen sich auf 41 Mrd. € und die deutschen Warenexporte nach Großbritannien 95 Mrd. €. Das Volumen an Dienstleistungen betrug insgesamt 47 Mrd. €, +7% gegenüber 2014, davon britische Exporte nach Deutschland 23 Mrd. € und deutsche nach Großbritannien 24 Mrd. €.
Die BCCG erwartet auch in den kommenden Jahren eine weitere Zunahme des Handelsaustauschs.

Speech by George Osborne - British EU reform ideas supported by BCCG and Forsa survey results
HM Treasury and The Rt Hon George Osborne delivered a great speech yesterday in Berlin at the BDI in Berlin.
The British EU reform agenda is very valid and should be taken positively also as beneficial in Germany´s interests.
This is also confirmed by the recent results of the BCCG, Open Europe Berlin and Forsa public and membership surveys about EU Reform, as a wide majority of the German public as well as the BCCG members support the British EU reform ideas. The survey polls were conducted in October.

BCCG welcomes Alexander Dennis and its Double Decker Bus in Berlin
HM Ambassador Sir Sebastian Wood KCMG welcomed the British bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis in Berlin on 14 October. Being British, the Ambassador was reminded of London when moving to Berlin recently and seeing double decker buses here.
With several guests and press present, the Ambassador pointed out the significant market share of the company in the bus and double decker public transport segment in cities, especially in the UK, Canada, the US, Hongkong and Singapore.
The company´s CEO Colin Robertson and his colleague Martin Gruber poined out that Alexander Dennis is now establishing its presence in Germany, starting to present its double decker bus Enviro 500 in a trial in Berlin, where it will run a 6-week trial starting soon. Also, Alexander Dennis recently introduced its
products in Switzerland and Poland.
The audience was informed by UKTI Director Tony Sims and Colin Robertson with his colleagues about the strategy of the company abroad.
As the Berlin transport system has traditionally been utilizing double decker buses, the guests present thought that these buses will be well suited in a growing German public transport market. BCCG and its network welcome Alexander Dennis in Germany.
